Schumer Shutdown Showdown

I am advocating for the opposite. We've done the simple things. Now they have to go all in...if they really intend to fix it.
And Trump has been attacked by members of his own party like Flake for trying to fix it. The only group that wants things truly fixed is the group that put Trump in power. Same people who are lambasted daily by Dems, RINOS, everyone with a vested interest to get their hands on all the money going through Washington.

Well, that's governing for you. Maybe if they'd try and convince more instead of wanting a fight on everything they could do it. No matter what you think of Trump, you can't say he's been making it easy on himself.

Trump shoots off his mouth but that doesn't change the fact the Dems aren't willing to be bipartisan. They wanted a "clean" bill on DACA. In other words DACA only with no concessions to immigration reform. And as was pointed out there's nothing in the continuing resolution they're against. But they want DACA included so the shutdown is on them. Unfortunately the public perception, with the help of the media, is that it's the Republicans causing the problem.

They have to get DACA attached to a CR. It's the only leverage they have and they have been given absolutely no reason to trust Trump, McConnell or Ryan. How do you make a deal with those liars? And even the republicans can't trust Trump!

Did the president not invite the democrats and republicans to bring him a bill? Did Durbin and Graham bring him one?

Yes and yes.

And then what happened?

Can't trust the guy.

Can you show me the bill? They had a meeting. Durbin claimed Trump used bad words. Durbin didn't get what he wanted, which was a DACA only bill. Trump is willing to do DACA if other immigration issues are agreed to. Dems won't do it.

If you don't trust Durbin, what about Graham? Oh. He's a RINO now too I guess.
