I'm in Colombia right now. Just had a root canal done for about $64. Can pay as you go here and they have excellent private hospitals that specialize in cancer and heart disease. By the way, when was the last time you heard a Republican politician demonizing SS and Medicare? Dems say they do, but when exactly?
Once that money leaves your paycheck it's no longer your money.

I don't like McConnell, but he's usually very smart. He's taken Trump to the woodshed twice this week. Once for trying to spike the football and kill Obamacare before the 2020 elections, and again when Trump threatened to close the US/Mexico border.
If the GOP does well in 2020, they will totally go after "entitlements", which McConnell stated openly in his Reuters and Bloomberg interviews in October, 2018. A rare mistake from the master politician.
The World Health Organization ranks Colombia ahead of the U.S. and Canada for overall healthcare.

My sister in law is a well known medical research scientist. When she went to Bogota, they had to hire private security to speed her through town in the wee hours of the morning to her hotel. Apparently, wealthy Westerners are big targets for kidnapping.
Actually, she had good things to say about their medical system.
