I used to suggest to customers who ordered their new tires online to check with the shop that you were going to have install them to see if it would be OK to have them sent there. No, I wasn't looking to get out of work----I had two tire shops on my route---I was just trying to save them the trouble of having to load them back in to their vehicle just to bring them down to the shop that was going to install them.

Work smarter, not harder.
UPS definitely misses all of your efficient methods.

That doesn't make sense. "pro lockdown" being democratic and "socialist" being giving stimulus money to nearly everyone while giving the very rich huge tax breaks, and business owners large loans that don't have to be repaid.
If a business gets a handout that has to be used on employee payroll, then who really got the handout?

As a part tome tire shop owner I would tell them to ship the tires to the north pole, because it will be a cold day in hell before I will let you ship tires to my tire store.

Reputable tire shops would do it for their regular customers; heck, one of the shops on my former area would store customer's tires and change them over from winter to summer (and vice versa).

R U saying I'm not reputable for refusing to have tires delivered to my fictitious part time tire shop?
I'll tell you what the guy at the tire shop on my route tells me. If you buy my tires the mounting and balancing is included in the price The only extra is sales tax but if you bring your own tires in I charge you out the wazoo $25 for mounting and balancing a new valve stems plus sales tax.
So basically it's cheaper by the tires off of him but he says he actually makes more money when people bring in their tires cuz it cost him 20 minutes of labor to make $100

Better yet - buy one of those mounters and a bubble balancer from Harbor Freight made out of Chineseum for about 70 bucks and mount and balance your tires yourself for free forever.

And don't tell me you have this cool Corvette or something that needs the dynamic balancer, for you pikers driving a Toyota to work it's fine.

What about the businesses that get the handout is those that don't really need it like Harvard. Then, only give it back because of bad press. The problem with giving these types of handouts to "small" businesses is that most really aren't that small. Maybe, these handout should be given to "micro" businesses of maybe 49 or less.

I'm not in favor of the loan program at all, or the shutdowns that caused the need in the first place.

Just pointing out it's not like Obama's bailout of banks that made bad decisions, it's going to employees of companies struggling through no fault of their own.
