You're so butthurt.
Give it up lady.
Typical response from you .... nothing substantive . The facts remain. Trump lost . Instead of being a standup guy like other presidents who failed to gain reelection like Carter and Bush 1 and accept the results leave and perform other tasks beneficial to the nation a desperate DJT tried everything he could think of in an attempt to stay in power.

Now why would he take such desperate measures? Perhaps we'll find out why in the days ahead.

By this logic the Senate could never pass the judgement to bar a former official from holding office again. They’d vote to convict and remove an impeached official and then their authority would end since that person would be a private citizen. It’s obviously not the founder’s intent and it’s not what is written in plain text. Keep grasping at a fringe interpretation to save your cult leader.

By your logic, they can impeach and convict any former office holder. There are principals within law including jurisdiction, statutes of limitations, etc. that can seem arbitrary and unfair at times. Impeachment is supposed to follow due process. The democrats hate the constitition and people's rights.

Impeachment is not a judicial process. It is run however the Senate decides to run it. That’s how the framers laid it out. It’s a political process.

So I guess we can agree that this is a sham trial with no attempts being made to even pretend it has anything to do with fairness, reality, or the rule of law, just what our "law makers", the ones we elected to write fair and constitutional legislation, think is popular with their voting base. The differences between our views is you're ok with the situation. You don't honestly believe that's what the framers intended, do you?

Seems pretty obvious if you look at the context.
You may have forgotten which hissy fit it was that you were throwing at the time though...
Just go back and reread your post.

That’s exactly what the founders intended. If you don’t like how your representatives check the executive you have a remedy at the next election.

Now exactly what in your view is " right by the American public"? Now in keeping with what is "right" in your opinion regarding DJT should he or should he not be brought up on federal charges and if convicted should he or should he not serve time in a federal prison?
Federal charges for what? And the Senate trial is strictly about whether he should be removed from office.
