I have never seen a strike before. What will it be like post strike? Will there be permanent layoffs due to low volume? i am the lowest seniority FT driver on the list. Should i start looking for a new job?
Of course you are correct, CACH. My bad.*cach
You have no idea what you’re talking about
Should i start looking for a new job?
Thinking for yourself.A scab?
Depends on your location.A scab is someone who crosses an active picket line.
You don't want to be that person.
Depends on your location.
In RTW, it's not a big deal.
If you cross the line during a strike your co-workers will remember it FOREVER.
This isn't something you want even if you are in a RTW state.

You need to relax.
All the package car drivers that crossed at my building have since retired, but they are still remembered. If you cross the line during a strike your co-workers will remember it FOREVER.

Not even management will respect a scab. Transfer you to a building where no one will know you.If you cross, you had better be going into management after the strike.
It would not be pretty.
The strike could last a month and you still will NOT be out of a job.
I'm sure it is in the Socialist State of Minnesota.believe me----its a big deal
That was in the days of 'promote to management from the driver ranks'.Not even management will respect a scab. Transfer you to a building where no one will know you.

This is Monkey Butt's posting account.Go ahead and cross the line-I don't care. Get back to us afterwards about what a great work environment you have with your fellow employees.
I'm sure it is in the Socialist State of Minnesota.
This is one of the reasons unions get a bad rep. People think of us as thugs that use intimidation to get what we want. "Cross that picket line and we'll break your kneecaps" Attitudes like this only reinforce a bad public image of unionsIf you cross, you had better be going into management after the strike.
