Aristotle's laws were the absolute name in Science until the Renaissance.
Newton's Laws of Motion were the absolute name in Science until Einstein.
Einstein's Theory of Relativity was the absolute until Quantum Mechanics.
Now Quantum Mechanics is starting to unravel at the edges.
I imagine half the absolutes when I was studying Science back in the 60's and 70's are not true now.

Exactly. Science changes all the time. Because, a learning and growing population has to accept superior information as it become available. Nevermind the sheer amount of things that arent even perceptible to human beings that may or may not be a part of our Universe. We dont even have the capability to see certain light spectrums... but yet think we can claim we "know everything" there is to know about any given topic. Na

My approach to this is ...
Science is what Humans have discovered about God's Laws.
I guess God's Laws are Absolute.

Ive said before that, to me, God is the Great Filler. God in that sense would be what we pursue, and Id argue was the original pursuit. Unlocking mysteries, the fun aspect of science. But as with any hive-mind body of thought, it gets subverted by the most illogical, the most barbaric, and turned into a dogmatic machine of destruction that uses hocus pocus to justify itself.

Im no fan of organized religion. Never have been. But no fan of atheism or science as a religion either. What I call God, to me, is, that which can not be explained. Beyond human perception.

The problem is that, science is objective and not absolute. Science is a fact-finding METHOD. Thats like buying a hammer and claiming youve built a house. No, youve got a TOOL to build a house. This is why science has become its own sort of religion. People "have faith" in this or that "leader' regardless of whether they understand the science themselves or not. And just like a religious lunatic, impose it on everyone else and use it as a TOOL of ACTUAL oppression. This usually draws the attention of the lowest-IQ narcissists in society as a convenient method of controlling others. Ill give you an example:

I like science, alot actually. Aced everyone of my science classes in school. But its beyond arrogant to ever claim that "the science is settled". Even Einsteins THEORY of Relativity remains a THEORY despite its accuracy.
No religious lunatic here, I ask questions and offer far to many opinions.

A declarative statement,
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:

What do you say?

I read your stuff, you're a smart guy. You knew exactly what I was asking.
I'll treat you like a dim.

What do you say about what Jesus said about himself?
We are talking of science and truth here.

I'm just curious. *shrug*

I say that, the Bible is the Jews book. They authored it, as a group. Some say the original Knowers were called Darvishes (or Dervishes) in Arabia. Making them the...

Or in alcoholics anonymous they call themselves the:

Others might say it could be:

Whatever the case may be, I know enough to realize I would never know unless I researched the origins of every religious text ever written and I just dont have the desire to Know, to that degree. I studied alot of religious stuff when I was younger out of curiosity, but thats about it.

Some Rabbi's argue the dogmatic end of scripture, perhaps to intentionally bury the truth and create a sort of Divine Justice, other Rabbi's argue that the moral of the Bible was. "If you're looking for Perfect, you're going to have a very lonely life. And whenever I'm in doubt of that I ask myself, 'What would Jesus do?' And then I realize;

Jesus got Crucified, so maybe His decision-making skills weren't really, all that great.

That is a deeper philosophical take on it for sure but can be applied to anyone in mankind. Of course, a religious person will be much more likely to shut out the obvious 1.) Lack of Perfection, and 2.) Adaptability of Crucifixion to all of mankind.

I have my philosophies though and am not out to take anything away from anyone. Im more of a "each to his own" kind guy. But since you asked, thats some of my take on it. Whenever I think about people misusing religion to justify criminality, I think about this guy, talking pompously-polite, but obviously guilty as hell

And hes hardly the only one. But this is why I cant take religious institutions seriously.
