I say that, the Bible is the Jews book. They authored it, as a group. Some say the original Knowers were called Darvishes (or Dervishes) in Arabia. Making them the...

Or in alcoholics anonymous they call themselves the:

Others might say it could be:

Take from it what you will. I still say the craziest theory Ive ever heard is that a Supernatural Entity that we cant see, just so happened to "write a book", send it down from Heaven, "literally", and give it to people. Eh. That was far fetched for me even as a child. Maybe even one of my first religious turn-offs.

That's because everything you were told, or what you interpreted it as, is wrong. A shame. There is such a wealth of beneficial knowledge in the Good Book that you're discarding because of your misconception.

When it comes to Social and Governmental change, I prefer smart people relying on empirical knowledge acting in incremental steps.
And how exactly is Trump doing this??

I think youre assuming I never read the Bible. Though I wont sit here and claim Ive read the entire Bible like so many others falsely do, I did read alot of it. Even went to Sunday school as a child for a period in my pre-teens.

Is there NOTHING beneficial in the Bible? Never said that. I think that some people can live a great life following the principles laid out in it. However, what I AM saying is that, because of the dogmatic aspect of religion, it has the tendency to run wild with lunacy, as witnessed by Jim Jones and his followers, Osama Bin Laden with islamic dogma, etc.

I think its just as easy to live a fruitful and decent life without HAVING to accept dogma. *shrug* I also think most of the principles of decency dont have to be explained to decent people, theyre inherent.

he was quoting the leader from another country who claimed he had trees that were much more flammable then what we have in California but had better control of the problem due to his deforestation process. If you actually listen to the entire context of what the man says instead of quoting DNC sound bites you would be better informed.
I've seen what happens to people who listen to Trump too much,

The mythology of The Bible is to teach the children and slow-witted.
The Bible is however, a great mass of wisdom (pun intended) and more importantly, a guide to developing a direct relationship with GOD, ...
... the head of the Group Of Dervishes.

Your mindless comments pale when you attempt to talk about the Bible.
You don't have a clue.

One of my favorite mysticism books as a kid was The Way of the Sufi by Idries Shah. Idries Shah was a descendant of mohammad, but he was a sufi mystic. His books were basically a compilation of different mystics throughout time, pre-dating islam, christianity, judaism. Never adopted it as my own philosophy but it was a unique read for sure.
