My bad.Jeb, Edwards, and Giuliani had not been previously elected President. None of them were the entrenched de-facto leaders of their political parties. Would the Republican base actually deny Trump a shot at a second Presidential term next year? Doubt it.
Edwards was also on the Democratic side.
All I'm saying is be careful in crowning DeSantis the Republican 2024 nominee and slam dunk winner.
