The 2024 Presidential Race Thread

In 2016 we really didn't get a good look at Trump until the primary debates. A lot of water under the bridge since then. "60 Minutes" showed a couple Sundays ago a bunch of loan documents he signed where he lied about his net worth to get loans. He did a lot of things I liked during his presidency but I feel he's got too much baggage. And if he does win it may lead to another Democratic Congress and more of the garbage attacks against him all the time. It's time for new blood and DeSantis does look to be the best of the bunch.

But what happens if DeSantis is the GOP nominee and Trump stays in as a 3rd party candidate?

We get 4 more years of creaky ol Joe.

That's true too. Trump couldn't help himself. Bad news for Republicans all around.

Joe will be primaried if he runs.

I think there's a greater chance of him announcing he won't be seeking a second term. He needs to kick Hunter out of the beach house and spend the rest of his days there relaxing and being the old and nearly dead guy that he clearly is. Jill should be pushing him to step down if she's not already behind closed doors.

If someone like Michelle Obama were to then jump in for 2024 it'd be over before it started.

I'm REALLY hoping Trump runs as an Independent with his MAGA party. Watching the Republicans melt down and implode will be absolutely hysterical !!!! People like Jordan,Hawley,Marge three toes and Boobert wont know what to do party wise.

But HRC has used up most of her favors ( or blackmail ) by now.
Highly doubtful she'd have a chance. But just pointing out if you're going to field a candidate they should have some legitimate government experience or at least like Trump run a business for decades. Nominating someone like Michelle Obama is pretty much turning the presidency into a popularity contest. Doesn't matter if she'd have Barack giving her advice, she needs to have real world experience.

Do you think Trump's business experience was of any benefit during his time as President?

He was a successful real estate developer with buildings and other properties all over the world. If all he ever did was be a game show host that's still more than what Michelle Obama has accomplished.

What does being a racist property owner have to do with being president?

He’s a con man that duped people. His business was not successful.

Absolutely. He instinctively knew from the start what businesses need to thrive. People want to pit labor against business because businessmen are making more money but businesses need to thrive to provide jobs and opportunities.
