You said he was anti-labor. How so? Was he pro Union? Of course not, he was a Republican president. But what did he do to bust up unions? How was labor hurt? He tried to work out a trade deal with China that would address the huge trade imbalance with them. Who do you think that would've benefited? I guess we could just keep the status quo of most of our manufacturing being offshore and half the country are literally wage slaves.

Written during Trump's term including stuff about workers during the pandemic. OK, hindsight being 20-20, tell us all the anti labor things he did do that actually happened and are impacting labor today?

During his first year, President Trump issued three executive orders eroding the collective bargaining rights of federal workers. These orders shortened the time frame expected to complete bargaining and directed agencies not to bargain over certain topics, limited the use of official time for collective bargaining activities, and weakened due process protections for federal workers subject to discipline. In October 2019, Trump signed an executive order revoking an executive order issued by former President Obama that gave employees of federal contractors the right of first refusal for employment on a new contract when a federal service contract changes hand.

The only thing acceptable to you is slamming Trump 24/7 for just existing. The Left lied about him for 6+ years and continues to. Lord knows the man isn't perfect but if he was guilty of 20% y'all claim he have been in prison long ago. The real reason the Left can't abide him is he was both a threat to the status quo in Washington and he was/is an unapologetic capitalist. Can't have that.

Well there you go. He agreed with what a number of states were already doing. The horror. Just remember, a big reason so much manufacturing ended up offshore was unions kept demanding more and more. Not just owners' greed that drove them to China and elsewhere.

Nimrata Haley is the first Republican officially in.

Nikki and Tim will both go easy on Trump in an effort to be his VP pick. He'll probably give Nikki the nod since she'd likely be less of a threat to his fragile ego and also be able to pull in more suburban women voters who would otherwise not vote for Trump than Tim Scott would be able to pull in black voters who would otherwise not vote for Trump.

Friendly reminder Haley has a long history of being anti-union.

Nikki Haley is slamming Vice President Kamala Harris’ new effort to encourage federal workers to join unions, saying it is "nothing more than a power grab that will crush worker freedom and empower labor bosses."

“We don’t need their bully middleman tactics between our associates and their employer,” she wrote on Twitter last month. It was a message in keeping with Haley’s previous declarations that she is a “union buster” who wears high heels to kick out organized labor “thugs” seeking to gain a foothold in the state.
