There's 2 early voting locations for that county.
There's 200 locations on election day.
So yes, the lines are longer with early voting.

The "easy" thing to do is to have thousands of poll workers posted up at hundreds of public buildings, churches, and schools for an entire week?

Seems pretty pointless considering you can accomplish the same thing in a single day.

Thank you for proving me right.

Most of Europe has rejected electronic voting machines and mail in voting.

Hopefully soon we can progress as a country too.
