If I played one on one against Lebron it wouldn’t be “fair” he would beat me senseless. The fact that we were both born with a penis wouldn’t make the matchup any more fair. Fairness is arbitrary.

All other things being equal, being a man would make it a more fair match up than him going up against a woman. Fairness isn't exactly arbitrary, almost the opposite, sex is.

Boys are born and grow up with testosterone. Their muscle and bone structures are different. There is nothing you can do to change this.

My youngest is in college right now. She played soccer from middle school through HS. I showed her the article I posted here earlier today and asked her what she thought of it as a former athlete. Sighhhh. View attachment 325986

I’d say it comes down to the purpose of sports. Youth sports are all about team building, developing leadership skills, overcoming adversary etc. The stakes are low. Including tolerance in lessons learned makes sense to me. Throwing a fit to exclude an incredibly small minority for the sake of a manufactured ideal of fairness runs counter to the point of youth sports. Some people are better athletes than others, it’s ok to not be the most physically gifted player on the field, it’s not ok to cry about how that’s unfair.

You're right, gender doesn't matter. We're all equal overall. And in these strapped times it's time to face financial realities. So let's have just one sports league for every sport. You try out for it and if you're good enough you're in. Otherwise you can cheer on your team from the bleachers. Survival of the fittest. Should be the same in the real world too. If you're able to handle physical demands better than others then a physically demanding job is yours. If you can't demonstrate proficiency in tests then you get the less demanding, lower paying jobs. But fear not, with workouts you can build muscle so that you have a shot at next year's trials. It's fine for boys who are built like boys but think they're girls to beat up on actual girls on the athletic field because you'd get owned on the basketball court by an NBA player who also has a penis?
