Those are not national anthems.
...ok?
Those are not national anthems.

Those are not national anthems.
...ok?
You're comparing apples to oranges. They are not the same thing as the Black National Anthem.
You're offended by a song.
If I were Sheryl Lee Ralph I'd probably be offended that you're calling the Black National Anthem "a song" that's on the same level as whatever Rihanna is putting out.
Lol...what?
Please refer to post #111 of this thread. Sheryl Lee Ralph is the performer who sang the Black National Anthem at the Super Bowl last night.
Yes. And for some reason you are offended by it.
I didn't get involved with this thread in post #107 because I'm offended. I got involved with it because I don't believe the Lauren Boebert tweet embedded in post #106 about the performance of the Black National Anthem at the Super Bowl was a crazy thing that was being communicated. That is the theme of this thread per its title.
The super bowl and the super bowl pregame was on TV for what 12 hours? 3 minutes of those 12 hours being dedicated to the black national anthem isn't going to hurt anything. Trust me. You will survive.
This doesn't have anything to do with my survival. And trying to point to something about 12 hours of coverage is pretty weak. The Black National Anthem was performed at 6:09 PM EST. Kickoff was scheduled for about 20 minutes later. Let's not try to pretend that it wasn't a centerpiece of the coverage yesterday.
Why does this upset you? Why?
None of my posts in this thread have been about me being upset. I understand that you're trying to project that onto me in order to try and derail my argument since you can't get me on the facts.
Fell free to present your argument with facts.
I've obviously already done so. I understand if your pride won't allow you to admit it.
No. Explain to me why you think America is being divided because the NFL included the Black National Anthem in their broadcast.
Sure. I see you edited in the second sentence of post #133 after I'd already quoted and responded to the first and then edited the second sentence a little more 7 minutes ago.
Anyway, featuring multiple national anthems at a country's premier cultural event is inherently divisive. They're called national anthems and not "songs" (per your attempt to downgrade the Black National Anthem to the level of a Rihanna, Metallica etc song in post #119) for a reason.
Nothing divisive about this.
Other than you and Boebert who else feels divided by the black national anthem?
Sorry but trying to normalize more than one national anthem, especially when one of them is dedicated to a specific race, is inherently divisive. It doesn't matter how any one person feels about it. That's just a fact.
