So if it were your plan you’d tell them no thanks?

No, but I would tell them to make sure all the other pension plans are up to par before they increased just one.

The same way we said we would strike for the part timers that are not making the money they should.

You guys want to work 30 years and collect the same amount in a pension for the next 40 years.

That’s not what a pension is for and will bankrupt any pension fund.
Well I’ll worry about that if UPS goes out of business because that’s who is paying my pension till I’m 65. So 7 more years then half comes from Central States who got the bailout.

Yep. And UPS is still paying the other half.

I’m sorry, but to be able to retire after 49 years, at age 51 and collect a pension for the next 40 years, is not what a pension was designed to do.

I pension is to replace your income at retirement age.

@Trucker Clock is the master of the pensions.

He has all these rules that must be followed.

You may not have a good pension at 55!
You may not have a pension that pays you a lot of money!
You may not make more than other pension.

The master of the pensions has spoken!

There is a lot of ego behind that keyboard lol.

So they get 100k a year pension after 35 years at age 55? Damn!

They haven’t told me what they get. Maybe because the legendary $8K is true.

Someone just skirted the question about moving the goalposts.

But I agree, you should not be able to retire at 55 with a huge pension. It will bankrupt, or reduce pensions, for everybody else.

Hell, for how long did the Central qualify normal retirement age as 65?

No, you should not be able to retire at 50 with a great pension, sorry.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

As long as the fund can pay, who are you to complain about when someone retires? Whether it’s 25 and out at 55 or 30 or 35, why do you care? We didn’t exactly push brooms all day. The job takes a toll on your body, we should be able to retire as soon as we can.

I am waiting for a response, from someone in the West, what their pension would be after 35 years over 55 years old.
This has already been asked and answered. It differs by pt and ft years, contributions and hours worked in the year.

It's nearly impossible to tell you what the pension would be at 55 and 35 but I'll say it would be under 6k

More than the Central pays in the new contract. That’s what I thought.

No you thought 8k. Now that you're way wrong you'll cling to anything to support your argument.

Like I said. You're from the central. Your opinion doesn't matter on this subject because you can't even pay to play. You need us to put money in the pot for you.

Impossible? It’s simple math.

The Crntral doesn’t bring in FT and PT years. Simple question.

In the West, a FT employee with 35 FT years in retiring at age 56. What’s his pension?

OK. I never said after 30 years.

What is the pension for a FT employee wanting to retire at age 62, a somewhat normal retirement age, with 35 years of FT?

You already said that at age 55 it is more then than theCentral.

Well I’m sorry you feel that way, but UPS is making plenty of money and I’m sure will continue to do so despite what they pay for my pension. So feel how you must you are in the minority, not just here but with anyone I know here that’s retired from here.

Jesus now it's age 56! Make up your mind!

Uugggg. You obviously do not know how our pension works. You make a set amount as long as you get a pension credit for one year. We are not the same.

Ours is contributions that have changed every year for many many years.

Honestly I don't know why I'm even talking to you. I could say $4,500 and you'd claim it's too much. You got your money. Run along little guy. When you need more next contract you'll know where to find us since you can't take care of yourselves.

If I have 40 years in at age 62 in the Central, I get $5700.

What do you get in the West with 40 years FT at age 62?

He’s right you bastard! You should still be working! Blood sucker, draining that pension fund.
