But honestly how many years can you do this job?
30 years is hard enough, 35 years you're in a much smaller group anything over 40 you are either crippled or crazy

Just because it’s a hard job doesn’t mean you should be able to retire sooner with the same money you werer making while working. It should be based on life expectancy.

I know the Central had 35 and out. I don’t think that’s where it should be.

Just because you do a hard job doesn’t mean you should be able to retire early.

With everyone living longer these days, retirement should be at least 62.

To be able to retire at 55, with $75K per year, for the next 30 years is ridiculous.

Yes, the Central with a number like that is ridiculous. It should be at least at age 62, not 55.
You see a lot of 60 year old package car drivers zipping around in your hood? Knock it off with this talk.

Any. 55 years old gets you on Teamcare.

Don’t care. You should not be able to retire at 55 with a huge pension and healthcare. I agree, the Central should have pushed it to 62.

I’m still waiting on the Peer 80 people telling me what their retirement is after 35 years and normal retirement age.

55 gets you into Teamcare. If you leave before 55 you have to wait till you’re 55 to get it. I know plenty of guys who left younger with 30 years.

I didn't say making the same money but they pay a lot of money into our pension should have a semi livable wage
You need very little overtime that'll make $100,000 so I don't think asking for 55 or $60,000 in retirement is ridiculous money

Just because you’re 60, dies not mean that you should be able to retire with a huge pension. You need to stop with that. What is the National retirement age average?

Just because you do a hard job does not mean you can retire early.

Then why do it? C’mon man, you know it’s part of the carrot that’s dangling to get fools to work like they do here. Don’t be in a union if you don’t want to retire early with a nice pension. You’re being pretty retarded right now.

A Union should be able to get you a great retirement at retirement age, Not at 50 years old to collect a pension for the next 40 years.
