The International Constitution does not give the NNC an option in these circumstances. As required by law, the NNC informed UPS of the ratification requirements at the beginning of negotiations. This provision has been in the Constitution since the 1991 Convention. If a majority of the eligible members had exercised their right to vote in this ratification, as did the members employed by UPS Freight, then a simple majority of those voting would have been needed to either accept or reject the agreement. But not enough members covered by the National Master UPS Agreement exercised their right to vote. And as we saw in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, winning the popular vote does not necessarily win the election when the Constitution requires you to win the Electoral College vote. As Teamsters, we too must abide by the rules in our Constitution. Thus, the National Master UPS Agreement has been ratified.
I don’t think we could do gifs in 2014?I guess your GIFs just weren't high quality enough
Every peak seems to be the first peak ever in our building .. sometimes I think it’s lack of communication. This day in age with all the scanning and tracking of packages that they should know exactly what the volume will be for the next day. But with the advancement of loads and possibly feeder dept not notifiying operations is why a lot of peak problems occur. Who knows. Just my thoughtI learned to never think we will ever be prepared for peak and that’s no one on this boards fault.
And yet another union s over the people who pay them
Our drivers would be paid a hell of a lot more should that work be taken off the rail. I see the costs, I see what putting more sleeper teams on does to us, it's expensive as hell. The rail keeps our service slow and our drivers paid.
Same as the competition - that’s laughable. We are twice their size burdened with low RPP packages with the higher cost structure.
If we’re measuring ups penises here I’ll admit you probably use excel more than me.
Finally some wisdomI learned to never think we will ever be prepared for peak and that’s no one on this boards fault.

Our revenue per piece is comparable to the competition with that higher cost structure because we have a union. But we also demand a hell of a lot more out of our drivers in return. You show me one service that the competition has that isn't identical to what we have and I'll back off.
I don't need to measure my weiner against anyone. My wife enjoys it and that's good enough for me.
How long have you been a part time Sup?And yet another union s over the people who pay them
GoodYou're the exception. I would never not battle you. EVEN IF THERE WAS A FIRE.
Boy you're way off here. I may be a hub planner and not a package one, but I can hear the package planner giggling in his cubicle when routes get cut. Gives him job security.Shhh here’s a secret. No one likes cutting routes.
Lol they pay your high salary to!Because those customers pay your absurdly high salaries?
Just fat like you.Good
Thought you were getting emotional soft
Haha. True. And that’s where I said everyone (being in management)has to answer to someone and do as thier told by the big guy smoking a cigar ,sitting in a big leather chair, reading the Wall Street journal. Comes inShhh here’s a secret. No one likes cutting routes.
He seems like a good dude - just misguided on what BD really does here. I’m not managaing a “patch of land” which was the stupidest thing we ever came up with. That’s my boy .... end of story
