You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Just got this in an email

The International Constitution does not give the NNC an option in these circumstances. As required by law, the NNC informed UPS of the ratification requirements at the beginning of negotiations. This provision has been in the Constitution since the 1991 Convention. If a majority of the eligible members had exercised their right to vote in this ratification, as did the members employed by UPS Freight, then a simple majority of those voting would have been needed to either accept or reject the agreement. But not enough members covered by the National Master UPS Agreement exercised their right to vote. And as we saw in the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, winning the popular vote does not necessarily win the election when the Constitution requires you to win the Electoral College vote. As Teamsters, we too must abide by the rules in our Constitution. Thus, the National Master UPS Agreement has been ratified.
First if all comparing this to the electoral college is a :censored2:ing joke.

Second "As required by law, the NNC informed UPS of the ratification requirements at the beginning of negotiations." uhhh might want to inform your membership too.

There has never been any mention of this being a final offer.

This just proves the IBT has become a complete sham.

Deregulation may have been the equivalent of felling the trees for the coffin but make no mistake about it this move is the final nails. It's over for the teamsters.

If it’s brown, it’s going down
Im confused... did it pass or not?
NNC is using the constitution to say this was the final offer and we needed 50% turnout with majority NO votes. Or 2/3 NO vote for under 50% turnout, basically it's up to Hoffa and Taylor too impose or go back dont listen to @Tony Q he is pissed his contract failed.

Now that the contract has been rejected negotiators need to know why.

Eliminate 22.4, Cover Drivers, and any other title that creates a 2nd tier driver. You are either a full time driver or you are not.

Excessive Overtime. All drivers that sign up will be given a 9.5 or 10 hour day whatever the number is.

Weekend drivers... There is no justification to pull weekday work to run full routes on weekends. I dunno about other buildings but every Saturday and Monday has been a nightmare since it started. Premium air routes do make sense on Saturday.

Make no mistake 2nd tier drivers and weekend ground are yhe reasons this contract failed.
Nope part time wages.
