If I was putin I would of did this when old joes in office to, old joe is corrupt, weak and predictable, 40 year political history, putin didn't do it under trump because he was on predictable, maybe putin thought trump was weak but putin couldn't risk taking Ukraine if he can't predict what someone's going to do, biden went to nato, trump would go it alone, people like putin fear the unpredictable peopleMaybe the problem is that you just don’t understand what Putin’s trying to achieve. Maybe he does want some segments of land in this country or that. Seems like too small a goal for a guy with wealth and power that Trump could only dream of. Maybe he wants more than that. He never initially intended to obliterate Ukraine. He wants surrender and control of the whole country by having a pro Russian government and subservient citizens. He's losing that objective so far.
I think Putin thought it would be over by now. It isn’t.

I don’t think so.. I believe that Putin knew what he was getting into from the very start.
I am starting to believe that he will be willing to split Ukraine rather than occupy the entire country. It will be a bloodbath if he sends his ground forces into these major cities, even if he takes them he will never crush the resistance. It could be his Vietnam, look good on paper... but.
