If the government is going to require ID to vote, than the government should provide ID. Should be issued out for all citizens.

Let's say I agree with you. Would the point of an all-citizens ID be its automatic issuance and/or a lower bar for required documentation?

It’s a pain in the ass going to the dmv as it is, especially when you work multiple jobs. I think we should be encouraging people to vote, not making it harder
I think both sides should work on always compromising. I can get on board with voter id to vote, but make it as easy as possible, otherwise it does look like the purpose is to discourage voting, instead of worrying about immigrants voting like they say
Tell you what. If there are legal challenges in court over this then there may be an issue. But if all you hear is claims without litigation then it's B.S.

The Biden administration handed out millions of Social Security numbers. That can be used to obtain a drivers license in many states and those states often ask if you would like to register to vote while there. If it isn't an issue at all then why is it all the Democratic controlled states are protesting having proof of citizenship?
A majority of married women vote Republican. Seems like it would be self-sabotage if the SAVE act did throw a wrench in that.

The idea of large organized amounts of illegal immigrants going through the process of taking someone’s identity to find their correct polling station and voting under someone’s name hoping that person didn’t already vote and risk being deported just to get their one vote in is ridiculous to me. We have a hard enough time getting Americans to vote. We can barely get teamsters to vote
The bone of contention is this new act will require proof of citizenship, male or female. The Dems are claiming as many as 70 million women will be denied the right to vote because their legal name doesn't match their birth certificate. As if there will be no workaround and they'll all be disenfranchised. This isn't just stupid, it's lame too.
