THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

No, I really don’t think so

The idea of large organized amounts of illegal immigrants going through the process of taking someone’s identity to find their correct polling station and voting under someone’s name hoping that person didn’t already vote and risk being deported just to get their one vote in is ridiculous to me. We have a hard enough time getting Americans to vote. We can barely get teamsters to vote
Who is talking about all that? Millions of illegals were given Social Security numbers by the Biden administration. Why would anyone stand in the way of verifying citizenship unless they had nefarious motives?

A majority of married women vote Republican. Seems like it would be self-sabotage if the SAVE act did throw a wrench in that.
I don’t care if 100% of married women vote Republican, it’s the principle

Plus, I would be perfectly willing to vote for a Republican. If tulsi gabbard had ran against Biden in 2024 I would have voted for her

He is so dang dumb he forgets the 19th Amendment. He likes to use AI in his post so maybe he will understand this

What is the 19th Amendment in simple terms?

AI Overview

In simple terms, the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution guaranteed women the right to vote. It prohibits the government from denying or restricting a citizen's right to vote based on sex. This effectively extended the franchise (the right to vote) to women.
Take it easy calling me dumb, I don’t know you like that.

No one is saying this is making it illegal for women to vote. It’s making it harder for certain women

The bone of contention is this new act will require proof of citizenship, male or female. The Dems are claiming as many as 70 million women will be denied the right to vote because their legal name doesn't match their birth certificate. As if there will be no workaround and they'll all be disenfranchised. This isn't just stupid, it's lame too.
So why not just leave it at an id?

Because an I.D. can be fabricated. Get the government issued Real I.D. Or get a passport.
See how it keeps changing?

Come on man, so now we’re worried about large amounts of illegal immigrants going to someone’s correct polling station, before they vote, with a fraudulent ID of them, to place their vote?

Thats ridiculous

No, we aren't. Because they were given legitimate SS#'s by Biden which can be used to get a drivers license in many states and many DMV's will register you to vote while getting a license. This new law will stop that by having proof of citizenship.

Immigrants authorized to work are given social security numbers but that happened under Trump, and they’re still not allowed to vote

There’s no evidence of any widespread fraud or social security numbers being given to illegal immigrants who are then voting

How do you know? Illegal immigrants were given "parole" into the country, which gives them work authorization, which gets them a SS#, with which they can get a drivers license and many, if not most, states ask if you want to register to vote when you get your license. Also opens the door to getting welfare.

I thought that the Dems were getting in millions so that they could eventually make them citizens years down the road. But they weren't waiting. So if Trump issues an order, or Congress passes a law, that requires obtaining a Real I.D. that has verified citizenship in order to vote, I'm 100% for it. Saying it will keep women from voting is right up there with claiming blacks don't have I.D. when literally everything requires an I.D.

And if that happened under Trump I'm pretty certain that the Trump administration never envisioned any administration would ignore the Constitution and let in all these people unvetted in order to get a competitive advantage in voting.

“A study of the 2016 election conducted by the Brennan Center the following year found “that of 23.5 million votes cast, election officials only found about 30 cases of potential noncitizen voting,” according to The Associated Press.”

“More recent investigations also haven’t shown proof of widespread noncitizen voting. A Georgia audit of its voter rolls conducted this year found fewer than 2,000 instances of noncitizens attempting to register to vote over the last 25 years, none of which succeeded. Millions of new Georgia voters registered during that time period.”

Are you against the idea of immigrants with an authorization to work receiving social security numbers?

Maybe part of a reasonable compromise on the issue would be to give illegal immigrants numbers that are not called social security numbers and treat them as two distinctly separate things.

We had that, it’s an ITN, it’s how undocumented immigrants are able to work and pay taxes. Undocumented immigrants pay about $100 billion a year in taxes

The program that gives immigrants with work access a social security number is called EBE and was created in 2017 under the Trump administration

Ok. So let’s use ITNs instead of new social security numbers for the EBE program if the program is to be kept.

2016? The millions let in was from 2021-2024. If it's no big deal then we'll go ahead with the Real I.D. After all, letting in 12-14 million people unvetted, resulting in the rapes and murders of numerous women was no big deal, huh?

And Democrats saw an opportunity and ran with it.
