You must have been excited when Biden commuted the sentences of all those murderers on death row.
37 were given a life sentence instead of death. I don’t have a problem with it. They will still serve a severe penalty. He didn’t put them on the street to murder again did he? Cmon man, you’re better than this.

A jury of their peers decided that their crimes were so heinous that they deserve death. By your reasoning why not commute the three that remain on death row? Do you think the victims' families think it's ok, they still get a severe penalty? Saw interviews with several and they feel like it's a slap in the face.

This just came out today and is a great example of why I’m against the death penalty
And then you have someone caught red handed with overwhelming proof and they sit in prison, a ward of the state, for the next 50+ years because their state doesn't have the death penalty.

They should have been. Biden was weak and a hypocrite for not doing so

It is a slap in the face, to the victims families of those who did get commuted. Its saying “your guys’ case wasn’t bad enough for death penalty, but these 3 are”

Death pentalty is wrong not because of the severity of the crimes, but because it’s giving too much power to the government, and it’s too easy to make a mistake. You can’t undo it

But it seems the Left would have us believe most who are on death row, or even in prison, are innocent and are in their circumstances unjustly. No doubt innocent men have been executed, and on occasion some are exonerated. It's why we have a lengthy process that last decades to determine guilt.

I’ve never gotten that vibe from the left, but maybe I’m biased because most of my views lean left. I’m sure there’s wackos out there who believe that. Same people who talk about “abolishing the police”. I think the internet really blows up the fringe ideas of wackos. I think most people on the left and right are decent hard working people who want the best for their families.

But I still believe the death penalty is giving way too much power to the government. Way too much. And while it may be rare for an innocent person to be killed by the system, one innocent person killed by the system is too much.

It is a slap in the face. And so is pardoning January sixth criminals.
No one can answer weather death penalty or not will make any victims family think anything is ok.

You'd have all the January 6th defendants in prison wouldn't you? Saw a woman the other day whose crime was she touched a table inside the Capitol Building. She was accused of stealing the table. They gave her the choice of pleading guilty to a misdemeanor or going to prison for 2 years and paying a $100,000 fine. Another man was outside of the Capitol Building videoing with his phone for 8 minutes. He didn't go into the Capitol Building nor did he participate in the riot. 2 months later the FBI broke in his door and arrested him and made a bunch of false accusations threatening 30 years in prison. He too pled guilty to lesser charges.

And your January 6th Commission destroyed all of their documents on the way out. When are you going to get that all of this, along with all the cases against Trump, was an attempt to derail Trump's candidacy? Truth won, and your side can now go slink back to your dark alleys and lick your wounds. Thank God Kamala Harris and the people who ran things for Biden are gone.
