Russia has spent billions more than they thought they'd have to spend on Ukraine. It's taken 3 years longer than they assumed and they've been grinding up hundreds of thousands of their soldiers in this mess. They've suffered enormous brain drain of their young professional class and isolated themselves into a hole of a wartime economy that they can't escape from easily. Yes, they're in a jam. Ukraine is in a jam as well but we're about to reward hostility and set up Russia to re-arm until they point they inevitably attack our friends again.
This is all so stupid. It's obvious this White House is friendlier than it needs to be towards Russia. It stinks to high heaven. It's one thing to make miscalculations but this looks like something else entirely. It's infiltration and the weakest
