I'm not sympathetic to protectors here attacking Jews because of the war in Israel. And since the majority of Palestinians in Gaza voted for Hamas and continued to support them in polls, and were wildly dancing as Israeli bodies were being drug through Gaza streets on October 7th, 2023, it's hard for me to feel too much sympathy for them.
The last chance they had to vote was in 2006 wasn’t it?

Of course it’s not ok. But it’s counterproductive to engage in escalatory protectionism.

This guy with his tariffs is like an angry 7 year old with a samurai sword. It’s dangerous. And stupid.

He’s breaking his own agreements with our neighbors. How :censored2:ing stupid is this guy? Or is he just greedy and corrupt?
yea we don't want to esculate by matching what they did to us. One of two outcomes possible and both are level playing fields.

Right on

We made it our business when we promised them that things would be ok if they gave up their nuclear weapons. We gave them assurances about territorial integrity. Pretty sad situation all around.
We're also have culpability. Critics of U.S. policy, including some analysts and Russian narratives, have suggested that the Biden administration’s strong military and diplomatic support for Ukraine—coupled with its dismissal of Russian security concerns about NATO expansion—undermined the Minsk process by encouraging Kyiv to resist Russian-backed interpretations of the agreements. For example, Biden’s framing of the conflict as a broader struggle between democracy and autocracy, and his administration’s provision of significant military aid, could be seen as emboldening Ukraine to prioritize a military solution over diplomatic concessions. However, this is not the same as direct advice to "violate" Minsk by refusing to cede land, as the agreements themselves were vague and lacked enforcement mechanisms, leading to mutual accusations of non-compliance by both Russia and Ukraine long before Biden took office.

Protesters, not protectors.

Other than cheap labor...
Illegal aliens and fentanyl...
What imports from Canada and Mexico...
Are irreplaceable???
Take building materials from Canada for example. Not easily replaceable. Builders and ultimately consumers would pay a lot more and/or have less.

I’ll say it louder for the people in the back: TRADE WARS ARE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE

Why does there have to be a war? Shouldn’t Free trade be just that? If tariffs are bad, why are there any and why does Canada have them?

Here you have Canada and the United States getting ready to tariff both each other and China, but that was OK because it was Biden.

Some tariffs are equal but some tariffs are more equal than others.

Especially if it’s the president you voted for.
