That was during Trump's term so Trump Jr was entitled to Secret Service protection. I'd have to see how many were assigned to him and if they flew over on a government plane or did they use Trump's private jet? But it's still not a good look to use government resources like that. The Obama's oldest daughter took a trip with invited friends to South America and Mexico that lasted weeks. That cost the taxpayers millions. What in the world difference does it make whether Trump was currently president at the time? Is it a difference in tax dollars to citizens?
Because during a president's term his children are entitled to Secret Service protection. Hunter Biden currently isn't entitled and Trump had every right to take away his detail. That particular trip to Mongolia cost the taxpayers a little over $75k.
but trumps kids also got secret service protection when Trump was no longer president. The cost to tax payers is no different whether Trump or Biden were in office, so it’s a very weird point for you to bring up
All of Trump's predecessors got extended time for their kids. I believe it was Err who brought up Trump pulling the detail. Hunter got coverage for an overseas trip after extended time covered was given to him. It's all taking advantage, but it's really screwing the taxpayer to use the Secret Service after being granted extra time for SS coverage. My point all along has been Biden went after Trump and now payback is a bitch. Might want to look into how small Trump's SS detail was in Butler, PA when Trump almost got killed. Might want to look at how Biden refused to give Kennedy coverage. There is no ok he got to do that so why can't I? But there is definitely payback.
