THE TRUMP 2024 THREAD

Would this happen through the contravention of the 22nd Amendment by both sides or Obama agreeing to also run for a third term?
Good question.

What’s your opinion on term limits? I go back and forth. On one hand I feel like it’s there for a reason. On the other, if the elections are fair, and the American people want Trump for a third time, why not?

I think presidential term limits are probably good given the wide-ranging control a president/single person has over an entire branch of our government.

Why? Would Barack Obama be viewed by conservatives as a worthy opponent rather than as a bum who they say was a bad president?
No idea, I’m just saying this is a personal wish of Trump. Probably because Obama said he would never be president in the first place. I don’t really think it’s any deeper than that.

I think it is a case of Trump wishing he could go up against the liberal elite's first team. Not that he really wants to run against Obama.

I think what the voting public is understanding is give a man a fish and you feed him for one day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Republicans are determined to provide worthwhile jobs in a vibrant economy instead of the whole country living in conditions that we see springing up in Democrat run cities. And we are very welcoming to those who come in through the right door and have been determined to not want to harm us.

I think you hit it. Trump likes to get even but his winning the presidency in 2016, while proving Obama wrong, would never be as satisfying as beating the Democrats top man. It's like speculating whether Rocky Marciano could've beaten the great heavyweights who came after him.
