We built Europe and Japan up after WW 2. We helped France, Britain and others with low interest loans, grants and other economic assistance, including low tariffs on their goods. The were allowed to have high tariffs on us in order to help their industries. That’s a long time ago. They never lowered the tariffs and we never complained because it wasn’t really hurting us. But we haven’t had a trade surplus since 1975! We’ve lost jobs and industries to those countries and others. Enough is enough.

Not to mention, when you factor in inflation, real wages haven’t risen that much since the 70s. You could buy a house on one income then. Thanks to so called “free trade” that’s no longer possible. 10 percent of the population controls 60 percent of all the wealth in this country. The middle class has gotten screwed. Between the globalists and cheap labor abroad and illegals here, formally good paying factory jobs and construction jobs are now low paying jobs. That’s just the tip of it.
