“cleaning slaughterhouses for Packers Sanitation Services Inc., one of the country's largest food sanitation companies, the Labor Department said. Some of them used "caustic chemicals to clean razor-sharp saws," the department said.”

Wow, what a bunch of babies. Caustic chemicals and over night labor cleaning some saws meant for processing meat. Get over it.

None of the guvmint’s business.
Yeah, but mining isn't big business in Arkansas. All over West Virginia.

Look at our economy, if you don't make at least 200.000 a year household you barely buy a starter home. Fact is our wages have not kept up with inflation for several decades, corporate has move most of their businesses overseas to save on healthcare and pensions/SS/Taxes. The times of a one paycheck household are over except for the 2 percenters, it takes at least two full-time working spouses to survive, one of the reasons for our lower birth rates, couples cannot afford kids. I was working weekends at a local dinner when I was a junior in High School before I joined the military at age 17, maybe our kids are spoiled and expect a free ride through colleges and universities. My children both worked part time when they got out of High School to support their college stint, they both completed their degrees, in fact my daughter has two and no college debt when she graduated. In order to compete with our economical enemies Trump has to make his play with these tariffs and cuts, times are going to be harder and closing the border and ending DEI requirements is a must.

Retired 2020. Not my Problem Anymore!
Morning check in to make sure things are going great in the USA and the Dems on BC are doing their part playing “chicken little.” As long as the Dems are pissed off and thinking the world is coming to an end, that means things are going great and I can go and enjoy another day of retirement without a worry in the world.
Welp until next check in 👋🏼.

Record economy. So your saying we will stay home and get checks have rates from 2.65-4.25%?. Be forced to save because we can’t spend anywhere?
why would we stay home? america first is not isolationism. it means that our policies will take care of americans first before we worry about anyone else. tariffs will force fair trade. either europe allows chevies to be sold in berlin or the volkswagon import will become unbuyable or volkwagon will have to build more factories here to sell their cars to us. any of those policies will help this country. I know you're a quirky guy but surely you can understand Trumps efforts to build a level playing field?

What did he say when reporters asked him if tariffs would result in higher prices or tougher times for consumers during the campaign? Did he say that it would take sacrifice by Americans?
for all the hysteria and drama by the left I have not seen any tougher times for anything. i dont buy french champagne, i dont buy canadian lumber, i dont buy canadian oil (why are we buying oil from them in the first place) for those looking for a nice alternative to french wines there are many options. the stock market correction is giving me a lot of exciting opportunities to buy into.

let me say it again. two main factors that affect inflation are oil and government spending. drill baby drill and DOGE is the fix for both. Despite the hysteria tariffs have not ever proven to be anything significant on our bottom line and basically restored the steel and aluminum industry under trump one.

Quirky….TY. Play field does need to be more level……but we put ourselves here being the “worlds reserve currency”. We wanted our $ as foundational transaction layer so we were greedy and sold ourselves for that status. We would not allow others to be independent to keep our hegemony.

thats wonderful and sounds like a great conversation piece to have with a shot of brandy and a cigar.

most voters wont understand that concept. they do understand that we cant sell our cars in europe but yet have a ton of german vehicles here.

I've often wondered why there's a chicken tax for Volkswagen pickups but not for their cars?
