But. But! Doesn’t the fact that NSA Waltz had such poor protection over his sensitive data as part of his job reflect terribly on him as well? At the very least he should resign. People have went to prison for much less.

And if you look at my above post people have done more, infinitely more, and got away with it because of their connections. A mistake was made and I'm 100% sure that mistake has been corrected. If you're going to hold people accountable for mistakes with prison terms then you should definitely hold them accountable for purposely violating the law.
