But seriously? Who’s going to fill all the vacant jobs left by immigrants on top of new manufacturing jobs? Where are these people going to come from?
This is stuff we should have been planning and preparing for
“nearly 20%of prime-age adults—approximately 24 million Americans aged 25-54 — are not working. The vast majority of these people, roughly 21 million, are not even looking for work and are therefore “out of the labor force.” Only three million prime-age adults are seeking work and so are “unemployed”.
Lots of people have given up on finding meaningful work. Not reflected just unemployment numbers, but not even bothering anymore. Good paying jobs that are not just jobs but careers would get many of them back in the labor force. Now and in the future.
