Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
DoubtfulApparently our conservative majority Supreme Court thinks the answer to that question is back to the US.

He’s an illegal from El Salvador. Where should we send him?If that's gonna be the argument whenever a mistake is made we shouldn't be sending prisoners there.

He’s here illegally, TTKUIf that's gonna be the argument whenever a mistake is made we shouldn't be sending prisoners there.
So our Supreme Court has jurisdiction over the world? GTFOH. Either way, the scumbag is getting deported. Our conservative majority Supreme Court says back to the US and they likely know a lot more about the case than I do.
He’s here illegally, TTKU
Let them enforce it in El Salvador.Think the Supreme Court knows that.
So our Supreme Court has jurisdiction over the world? GTFOH.
Can’t enforce it.Think the Supreme Court knows that.
This particular one is a citizen of that country. TTKU. Should we interfere with other countries citizens? I think not.Hope the Trump Administration uses that argument. The prisoners we're sending there become lost in a black whole because El Salvador is a sovereign country. Not even our Supreme Court can have one brought back. Would be very entertaining.
They can’t enforce it. Maybe they can demand that Hamas release the remaining hostages next. Just as much power.Think the Supreme Court knows that.

Because they can’t enforce it.Too potentially entertaining a scenario for me to not change my mind. I now agree that we can't bring a single prisoner back from the El Salvadorian black hole because it's a sovereign country.

We are paying El Salvador to warehouse illegal alien gang members so should have some say in wanting to retrieve a particular prisoner. And there's an international extradition system in place so El Salvador can certainly choose to return the prisoner upon request. We aren't going to war on this but I think El Salvador would be very cooperative if we asked.Too potentially entertaining a scenario for me to not change my mind. I now agree that we can't bring a single prisoner back from the El Salvadorian black hole because it's a sovereign country.

Our prisoners? He’s a citizen of El Salvador. What part of that don’t you understand? He was here illegally, he’s not gonna stay here. The Supreme Court didn’t say he gets to stay here, either way.Indeed. Bringing one of our prisoners back from El Salvador is simply beyond our grasp.
He’s not an American.Indeed. Bringing one of our prisoners back from El Salvador is simply beyond our grasp.

We are talking about the one who had a ruling that he had a legitimate asylum request? That the Trump administration admitted was a mistake shipping him to El Salvador? If so the Trump administration should be able to retrieve him IF THEY WANT TO. Saying El Salvador is a sovereign nation so there's nothing that can be done sounds like a dodge. Our prisoners?
