Trump won KY by over 600,000 votes.

Dodged a bullet in some of these communities even though 18 died anyway. Could've been much worse had they not filled those newly-vacant overnight positions at the local NWS office in Jackson.

I offer this for them next time:

Thoughts and prayers.
Lol, folk are lost without government bloat. No one has internet, cell phones, landlines, radio, over the air-cable-satellite TV.

The Independent seems to know its target audience is cat ladies if this animated ad I just saw in the article is any indication:

Someone has to remote log-in to give Jackson, KY a tornado warning because the night staff that covered that area was let go. Valuable minutes were lost.

Probably got people killed there.

Hope you like what you voted for.

So, they don't watch the weather reports?
Sucks to be them, no amount of bloated staffing would help.

Anyway, if you are depending on government tell you the weather, you are lost.

Where'd you see that?

The article you posted:

"A spokesperson for NOAA told The Independent that neighboring offices provided staffing support to Jackson, allowing it to remain “fully staffed through the duration of the event.”"

“The National Weather Service offices in Louisville, Jackson, and Paducah provided forecast information, timely warnings, and decision support in the days and hours leading up to the severe weather on May 16,” the spokesperson said.

Residents of the area still received timely reports on the weather through their usual means."

Well the Biden people didn’t give WNC any warning or help. Took Trump winning to give those communities the proper help. Didn’t take long for interstate 40 to get open after Trump won. How many did Biden and Mayor Pete kill in WNC
