The Walking Dead (Spoiler Alert!!!!)

I've never seen the comic. Does the show follow the comic religiously? If not, can you give examples of how it didn't?

Interested!

No and there are too many to list.

Here's a site that has each monthly comic summarized. It takes time to get through it but it's interesting to see the differences.

Ohhhhhhhhh crap! I figured he would turn up again soon. Where's his henchman? The black guy with the French sounding name? Could things be any worse?? Maybe a head poke/shot doesn't work any more????

The prison is about due for a cleansing. According to websites that show the cast of season four…….the characters that Rick and the others met after leaving the prison (in the comics) will appear sometime this season. Or maybe they'll appear before that on the show. It's been a while since I read the comics but I do remember that it didn't end well. I think allot of people are getting sick of the prison so hopefully a herd and/or the governor runs them off. Maybe Tyrese will get his head whacked off by the governor in the back of a truck outside the prison as he did in the comic. :)

There are major differences. Some different characters too. No Daryl in the comics. Lori and the baby are shot down by the governor while raiding the prison. The Governor is a mean looking Hispanic guy. Those are just examples.

My "Walker" son came by yesterday and stayed late so that I could have dinner with him. It turns out that I had already seen him on the show this year, but there was no way that I would have recognized him. He was made up as a 70 year old looking zombie that chowed down on the hippy girl. In the episode where Rick and Carole went out looking for stuff, they ran into a couple of survivors, and Rick gave them a watch so that they could meet up later at a certain time. When they came back, some walkers were eating them. My son said that they were actually eating some chicken left over from the lunch buffet that day, it was mixed with fake blood. At one point, my son said he pulled an imitation small intestine out of the fake body and bit it in two, and the director and film crew broke out in applause when the scene was finished. I don't know if that part was left in the show, I wasn't paying that much attention as that scene was pretty grossed out! My son showed me a picture of himself when he was in makeup. He went to the backroom and took a picture of himself, which isn't allowed. He is trying to get in a production job with the crew, and posting anything about the show is strictly forbidden.

I wonder if the prison campers could have made good use of some Claymores. They could have come across some. Anyone care to speculate on what the Governor has up his sleeve? The preview didn't give away much.

B.C. boohoo buster.
I'm surprised by the whole notion that they could think the governor wouldn't be back and be prepared. I'm also surprised at the lack of military planning and preparation. They could have at least created a bigger barrier out side the fence. Cheval de frise - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Creating bottlenecks and kill zones. Even trenches to catch, like the governor did, and burn them as the piled up. Barbed wire tangle foot, multilayer tree to tree barbed wire fence, and other defensive fortification. Its not just walkers they need to worry about its the competition from other survivor groups.

When you look back in history warring tribes where all the rage.

I would have set out barriers to prevent the large groups of walkers from reaching the fence en masse. Keep them from getting more than a few deep at the fence and it would last forever.

Indeed. They could have taken some notes from whatshis name from season one when they bumped into him again in "Clear"
