This is how young employees turn into grievance-throwing men 20 years later.
You should thank him in helping you grow that backbone sooner and becoming a Teamster.
Your sup.Thank who?
Your sup.
Take the time to read the contract book and learn your rights.Unlikely that will ever happen...
But I think I get what you guys mean.
You're not even getting a warning letter, I wouldn't worry about it.
NoI still think he should sit down with his sup and discuss this issue.
@ups_rookie you disagree?Take the time to read the contract book and learn your rights.
No
It's pure harassment and intimidation.

@ups_rookie you disagree?
Guess what? The sup isn't a ing doctor. You shouldn't get harassed for calling off, unless you are an abuser.Intimidation? Yes.
Harassment? Perhaps but once the sup saw that the OP really was sick he quickly changed his tune.
He can write a protest letter.Wait until you are feeling better before you sit down with him/her to discuss this face to face. You were clearly sick and he was out of line for trying to discipline you.
I may be wrong but I don't think you can grieve a verbal warning.
Whatever . trying to help. You wanna be a dick about. Good luck to you.Sorry, yes i disagree, see previous reply of mine...

Sitting down with a sup who acts like this won't get his attention or change his behavior. A well written protest letter given to the steward will address it better.Intimidation? Yes.

Anything not in the book is just hot air coming from your supervisors buttLike I said in my OP, I have. Also, there is nothing in said contract book that mentions anything about 6 days in 9 months as one guy said nor does it say anything about 6 days in 6 months like another guy said in this thread...unless I'm missing something.
Seems to me there is more information out there (according what is said in these forums) that what is in the contract books.
I'm just trying to learn is all...

It's all in there somewhere. Most people look at the master contract but don't bother to read the local supplement. No wasn't trying to be a dick about it, seriously. I apolgize if you took it that way.
I was just saying there seems to be more information floating around out there that isn't in the contract books.
I am appreciative of your time and advice.
