Time before UPS

When I got hired you had to have your Military obligations over (Vietnam draft you know)- you had to be 21 to be a driver (and I assume male because nobody had ever heard of a female driver) -and you had to be married (they wanted people that were committed and responsible). I don't know IF the marriage thing was Company wide but it was where I was. I was told right to my face to get married and I would be made full time. I had tried to go full time before but and they said "sorry".
Ups wanted to make sure you had something they could ruin.

The three Conigliaro brothers were bad businessmen.
The wait staff used to run polls on who was the horniest of the 3.
Tony never finished first.
As with all their business, once they stop making money, the "accidential" fires began.

That bar was one of their last ones they owned.
The very last joint was in Middleton.

Do you recall the housing development across from the Blue Line Station at Wonderland Dog Track ?
Sales were so bad that every few months a structure or two needed to be burnt, just so they could pay the workers.
Their Uncle Vinny was the brains and once he died, everything went downhill.
