Total Service Disruption today?

After the first hour, breaks can be mandated. I’d hope no one would even attempt to require more than 30 minutes though.

Breaks cannot be mandated in this case, after the 1st hour or not. This type of practice is specifically forbidden in PBP.

Is that also in section 6? Sorry, I'm going to need to remember that for the next time "Take your break now!!!!" comes around and I get pulled into the office for not complying.

I have never been pulled in the office in over 25 years for not taking a break when they said. They have you fooled.

Fooled? Not a chance. I didn't take my break as instructed, they saw me working and asked if I was on break. I got pulled into the office the next day for it. Nothing came out of it other than a verbal lashing and a "ok, ok, ok, yeah, okay, i'm 'sorry', okay".

This last peak, it came around again, same command and when that mgr asked if I was on break while randomly walking around "Yes I am" and went back to doing something work-related and productive.

Correct, I know I can hold my tongue though. I will tell later after the SNAFU is a distant memory. For everyone's :censored2:'s and giggles.
So you have inside info as to why Memphis got several inches of ice, had snow on top of that and the airport was basically shut down for 2 days? I am impressed.

I tried flying in to see family and my flight got cancelled. Any idea who at Southwest is to blame for their weather problems?

Nothing you can say or do would impress me. You are a person who likes to act like they are more important and knowledgeable than others. I really don't believe that is the case.

You claim to have info on the real reason of the disruption. Like I said, ice and snow was a contributing factor.

I like the way you try and back out of the pile you dumped. There is absolutely no mention of "contributing factors" in your initial post, you provide only ice and snow. If you go to my initial post this is what I said
Only part of the truth as I have been told. Can't say anymore.
I've had extreme patience with you, and it's a trait I'm not known for, but you've got to do better fella. You do understand I'm basically the last man standing that hasn't blocked you or will interact with you. Get this clearly, ice and snow yes big problem other factors yes, can you understand that. Now when you leave, don't get your hair caught in a conveyor belt.

Yep. You CLAIMED to have the inside info on that as well. Now that your claims that it was more than ice and snow that delayed our freight, I have serious doubts that you really do know anything bout anything.

You had people that just love to complain about anything asking you for the real reason the freight was delayed. You kept acting like a big shot, claiming you would would spill the truth in time. Like I said, several inches of snow on top of several inches of ice and an airport that closed runways was the reason our freight got delayed. My Southwest flight couldn't land and was cancelled before departure. In case you didn't know, Fedex uses the same runways. That's right, you know everything. Bummer

I can understand why you would think that.

PBP does state that NON-Meal breaks can not be forced due to no available work. It also states that meal breaks near the beginning or end of a shift are discouraged.

However, it does say that meal breaks may be required early in the shift due to operational emergencies.

More guidance was given that outlines what can and can not be done by management. It was 3 or 4 items each. I do not remember all of them. It explicitly states that management CAN mandate meal breaks after the first hour. I remember that management CAN NOT force a later start time due to a late plane. It can be requested, but employees MUST be allowed to clock in at their scheduled time if s/he chooses.

I don't know everything, never made the claim, but in these two instances I do.
