Trump meets with Kim Jung Un

Surely to god you're not trying to claim you are "normal " are you?
Thanks for the set up, Shirley.

And I cringe at the thought of being normal.
However ...
... in the context of of Trump's personality and Current Events, I am the middle ground.

Like the good blue book says, "...place principles before personalities."

Use some critical thinking skills, he vomits whatever is on his mind, of course he meant it.

When the ‘President’ of China basically secured his job for life, Trump said ‘we should look into that’, made a joke.

I’m paraphrasing the last quote, but it’s abundantly clear DJT has no real connection to the Constitution.

He just wants to run the show, no questions asked.

That’s not how it works.
So did Obama ... Trump has spent a good amount of his time in office so far reversing Obama's 'working around the Constitution' in the form of Presidential

WAPO ARTICLE
Since Jan. 20, Trump’s administration has enthusiastically and systematically undone or uprooted rules, policies and tools that predated his time in office.

Withdrew from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Revoked a rule that expanded the number of people who could earn overtime pay.

Reversal of a rule that would mandate that oil and gas companies payments to foreign governments.
Stopped a rule that would require large companies toreport worker incomes by race and gender.
Reversed an interpretation of the Civil Rights Act that provided protection to transgender workers.

Ended a rule that barred employers from taking some or all of the tips given to service employees.

Canceled a rule mandating that financial advisers act in the best interests of their clients.

Ended a rule that allowed consumers to file class-action suits against financial companies.

Ended limits on the ability of states to drug test those seeking unemployment benefits.

Reversed a policy allowing states to develop their own work requirements for welfare recipients.

Revoked an executive order that mandated compliance by contractors with laws protecting women in the workplace.

Repeal of a rule allowing states to create retirement savings plans for private-sector workers.

Appointed Mick Mulvaney, a fierce opponent of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to serve as its interim leader.

Blocked implementation of a rule that would have made it easier for farmers to sue big agricultural companies.

Repeal of a bill that mandated that employers maintain records of workplace injuries.

And the list goes on and on.

So he’s using the same power to reverse Obama’s use of that power?

Got it.

Does Kim Jung Un understand that? Did Senator Cotton send him a letter?
We all know if there's a formal treaty it must be ratified by the Senate. Generally when a state of war officially ends a treaty is ratified and signed by both parties. Not sure what you're getting at but Trump can negotiate an agreement with North Korea just like Obama did with Iran. Agreements aren't binding and can be withdrawn from as Trump has done with Iran.

Right. So as Senator Cotton advised Iran, Kim should not put a lot of faith in any deal with Trump. Why would Kim make permanent any denuclearization when any future president can simply reneg on the deal?
