Ya I know I had the opportunity buy one for 500 bones on a route I was covering but I dropped the ball. I just want it for the history. Did manage to get a ww2 kar98 off classic firearms but all insignias were stamped over by emperor selassie.

I only paid about 120 to 130 dollars for mine but that was over 30 years ago. It is a little rough and nothing special but still fun to shoot. I have a really rough K98 I picked up cheap but I should have paid more for a better one. About the only markings on it are 1943. Quality was already dropping by that point in the war.

Holy moses! To your knowledge does it have ‘RIA’ on the receiver of the carbine? Ya that Kar I grabbed for 800 bones. It has not matching numbers but it’s definitely a piece of history which I appreciate. The first Jag I put through some of the desert it was used in oozed out lol. No pitting on the bore either.
