Canada had announced its $1.3 billion border and immigration investment at the end of last year.

Canada already had these plans implemented.

Mexico is deploying 10,000 troops, which they already did
Some of the things had been already talked about Al although not yet implemented they will now be implemented along with other things that Trump and Trudeau agreed to. It’s almost laughable to pretend these are not huge wins. And you would have to believe that the Mexican president and the Canadian president were in on this with Trump to make him look good. The truth is they he is dead serious and not be fooled with. this is what capitulation looks like at the beginning of the negotiation. This is only the start.

“I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border. In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and we will be backing it with $200 million. Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together.”

Saving face? On what? He enacted tariffs and they backed down. Exactly what does he have to save face on?
Nothing, this is a huge win. And a signal to all Nations. Both on the political stage and in reality. Trump is carrying a big stick. Big stick policy is back. Let’s hope its used appropriately.

That's ridiculous. Take a good look at Trump. You'll see what patriotism looks like. He's no dictator. The Left is willing to completely ignore the Constitution and when we get a president who upholds the Constitution the Left screams dictatorship. Is that enough of an idea for you?
Really… Your gonna make me look at him? His wife barely does. My last hope for patriotism was in the Capitol building. Authoritarian-Not yet but the blocks are being laid. Your killing me with the Lefty/Righty stuff.

If you know his book it’s spelled out. He is making a bid to possibly go beyond 4 years. Also receive cooperation for stopping citizens leaving in a panic.

If I've got a chance to decide something Trump does is wrong or retarded I'll take it. But rolling the dice on the right and holding on for the ride over remaining a strictly Democratic voter has been worth it for me to this point. Especially since, as we've very recently seen, the highest level of Democratic Party leadership is still insane.

Think a lot of people probably feel the same way. The eternal dictator stuff didn't work for the November election and it still won't work today.

And you live in a rich fantasy world. The Left-Right thing? Exactly who is screeching about everything Trump does while the Right has been approving? Trying to say there's no difference between groups is just trying to get around the fact that the Left's agenda has been shut down.

But what he wanted they were already doing
Nope first thing you need to understand how negotiations work. Second thing, Look at Trudeau’s remarks and the Mexican presidents. There were other things agreed to as demands of Trump. And what still continue to ignore is he said they have 30 days. Do you believe they believe he’s not serious?Do you think of the Mexican president sends 10,000 people like like the Mexican president did when Joe Biden was there and there are mostly cartel members in uniforms helping people across the border like they did during the 21 through 23. When we had such an insane amount of border invasion? I’m pretty sure they had that conversation. Like I said clock is ticking. We will find out shortly. We haven’t even started talking about money yet.

Both countries were threatening retaliatory tariffs but have backed down. And you live in a fantasy world with @Over70irregs if you think Mexico was already trying to control their border.
Yeah, the supposed 10,000 troop sent during the Biden administration sure didn’t help. I don’t know what they were doing, but most likely taking bribes. And our side doing absolutely nothing about it. You have to live in reality on this, because the Democrats actually lost because of this if they’re arguing that somehow it was good the last four years they really don’t even understand why they lost.

What's really sad is, if the Right is saying Biden is doing this or that, the average Democrat is going to believe the exact opposite because they don't believe anything the Right says. Even with overwhelming evidence.

Nothing that happened Today was bad, if Joe Biden had done it, I would be applauding him. But he didn’t.

The Mexican government is in bed with the cartels because of the money involved. Anything they do is for show. But if their industries that provide millions of jobs are threatened by tariffs, they would soon have the masses in the street taking down the whole country. They know it and they know Trump knows it.

Exactly and I’m sure Trump said you send a bunch of people from your military that don’t do the job and you will have a problem in 30 days. Better send the best 10,000 you got.

Please tell me you learned from the “wars”. Wars on poverty, homelessness, terrorists, crime. There has to be a boogeyman to get $ or should I say PRINT $. Look…(sigh)…. All you have to do is spend (X)⬇️? Right????
