Tues thru Saturday drivers lose 2 holidays

So I was just informed that I will be tues thru Saturday and that while most drivers will enjoy a 3 day weekend on labor day and memorial day. We will get paid for the day but will only have 2 days off.

You are not bitching about getting Memorial Day and Labor Day off.
You are not bitching about getting Memorial Day and Labor Day off PAID.

You are bitching that on 2 of the year's 52 weeks, you only have 2 days off while SOME people have a 3 day weekend.

Way it works here is if Holiday falls on your off day Monday you can take Tuesday off

Tuesday would basically be Monday volume anyways so they probably wouldn't care if there was a book-off.

Tue to Sat sound great if you're an NFL fan. You also get a weekday off to take care of personal business; doctor visit, mistress, etc.

We are guaranteed the pay, but Labor Day is the only day out if the 365 which we are guaranteed off.

Way it works here is if Holiday falls on your off day Monday you can take Tuesday off

That is the way it works in my building. We have 3 combo jobs that are Tues-Sat.

Never ceases to amaze me how everyone looks at things differently. Half the guys would love the extra pay.

Sun-Thurs feeder runs get Sunday off as their holiday, but have to work Monday the actual holiday.

No because you did not actually come in and work. Just collected an extra days pay on your pay check.
