Ukraine Conducts "Military Exercise" in Russia

...

Nah
Helping Ukraine against an unprovoked invasion by Russia is the most traditional American foreign-policy position imaginable and is squarely in line with US policy of the past 75+ years.

The fact that MAGAs/critics are trying to label assisting the Ukraine as "woke" tells you meaningless, misused and overused the term has become.
1) The invasion was provoked by decades of NATO expansion and ignoring Russian security interests which they have clearly expressed.

2) The most traditional foreign policy imaginable would be to stay out of entangling alliances (George Washington) and only going to war with a named country if declared by congress.

3) Sort of like "racist," "extremism," or "insurrection," right?

I'm guessing real life military experience is not your strong suit.
BREAKING 🚨 Putin has declared Martial Law in Russia-annexed regions of Ukraine.

He made the announcement during a televised meeting of Russia's Security Council, as Moscow's forces evacuate civilians from Kherson ahead of an expected Ukrainian move to retake the city.

The Federation Council must now approve the declaration of martial law before it is official. (Moscow Times)
Looks like he has enough military to start martial law in another country.

Declaring Martial Law and enforcing Martial Law are two separate things. Especially when your occupation army is fighting for its life.

The "enemy" attack was repulsed? So Ukrainians trying to recapture their own nuclear power plant are the enemy on their own land?

NATO expanded because of past Russian aggression. Period. If the Russians don't like it they can try acting like responsible world citizens and learn to cooperate with their neighbors.

NATO took advantage of the Russian federation weakness in the early nineties, and expanded for no reason. They agreed not to but did it anyway. It not only angered the Russian leaders but it pissed off the Russian people as well. How would you feel if Russian troops were on the Canadian border?

Who did they expand with? Eastern European countries who had been under Russian domination for decades. There's a reason they wanted NATO protection. Those countries are free to leave NATO any time they want and align with the Russians if they feel NATO is the real bad guy.

They had an agreement not to expand. But they did. I guess agreements mean nothing to you.

Things change. If it was a signed treaty that would be one thing. But the Russians have proven time and again they can't be trusted. And they're the ones showing their true colors by indiscriminately killing civilians to try and demoralize the Ukrainians. Perfectly illustrates why those countries sought NATO protection.

Then you can’t blame them for not trusting us either. I wouldn’t want hostile troops on our border.

Which is why our relationship with Canada and Mexico is such that they don't feel the need to bring in outside protection. If Russia wants to dominate its neighbors it's going to get this type of response.
