Paper was so much easier to get away with murder on. I especially loved rainy days when your paper records would all but disappear. For years after going DIAD, I still carried paper every time I was sent out.

Yes, that sucked. Especially when some 1Zs wouldn’t scan. I had a bulk stop at a plant nursery that would not scan, I wrote the shipper number only, no 1Z. They weren’t happy. That was after they changed the paper records to mimic the 1Z labels and took a lot longer
The one part of paper records that I did like was not having to write the shipper more than once for a multiple package shipment from the same shipper. 3 digit package ID. Much quicker.Yes, that sucked. Especially when some 1Zs wouldn’t scan. I had a bulk stop at a plant nursery that would not scan, I wrote the shipper number only, no 1Z. They weren’t happy.
Should be issued in some areas.Possibly
Same hereI always had a pad of them behind the bulkhead too. Lol
And when a shipper loses a customer because of poor service or a wise ass driver , nobody wins ,, but go ahead Dave , I know you'll have an answer to that alsoThen again, we are not their customer. The shipper is their customer. So, they apparently don’t consider the delivery recipient to be of any concern.
Kagan: Amazon puts UPS to shame with delivery experience
In the scheme of things, you would think delivery and shipping giants like UPS, Fed Ex, DHL and others have a lock on the industry.www.rcrwireless.com
I have Bill Buckners signature on a 50 line standard record sheet at home still , had a business on my rte early 90's ,, great great guyI always had a pad of them behind the bulkhead too. Lol
Somebody ordered it from the shipper.True but the shipper is the one that pays your bills.
Rod was probably happy when they went from stone tablets and chisels to paper and pen.Everyone whined about going off paper. Once they learned the diad they whined when they had to go back to paper. SMH
Unless it was a racist or an over the top threat no employee going to get walked out because a customer cried about something one of our people did…seen some dumb asses say some pretty stupid and crazy sht and still kept their job… mostly stupid sexual talk from some of our dudes who think they are Rico Suave’s brother..Back then the Center Manager told the customer to use another carrier if they had a complaint. Knowing there was only the PO. Now an anomalous complaint will see you fighting for your job. UPS can replace a $40/hr delivery driver with a $20/hr new hire tomorrow.
All that would happen is you would get another note in your file. Didn't matter whether it was true or not.Unless it was a racist or an over the top threat no employee going to get walked out because a customer cried about something one of our people did…seen some dumb asses say some pretty stupid and crazy sht and still kept their job… mostly stupid sexual talk from some of our dudes who think they are Rico Suave’s brother..
In my experience some of that was employees who were flirting with drivers or the other way around… a lot of he said she said stuff…that just gets put into the high school drama files…I’m glad I never dated any of my customers while In pkgAll that would happen is you would get another note in your file. What's the problem ?
He's new , a RedSox fan his sister is a righteous Nun and he probably doesn't sleep naked with a Mickey Mantle blow up doll ,, like the other Trip

Had one riding in a office chair in back BEST DAY EVER!!!I saw guys with 2 supes riding with him, to bust his chops. It wasn’t real common, but it wasn’t rare either. It was an intimidation tactic. The local finally put a stop to it.
The writer basically threw a tantrum because his driver didn’t give him special treatment. And made one apples to oranges comparison after another. Typical entitled clown. And when a shipper loses a customer because of poor service or a wise ass driver , nobody wins ,, but go ahead Dave , I know you'll have an answer to that also
