I started in 75 at Christmas for 5.35 an hour. I was kept on as a fulltime driver after the
holiday. In 30 days I made top rate which was 5.89. I was living large.

I think it was $6.21 when I started in 77

Has to be mid -late 60's. Years back, old timers told me they made around $100 a week. That was good money back then. You could buy a house for $45k.

I started at $8.50 in 2009, was the same wage in the 80s. It’s interesting inside and drivers used to have the same top rate, then at some point ups stagnated inside rate for decades
