Vacation Pay after retirement

I took all of my vacation and sick days which was about 18 weeks between January-April. I retired in May. In June I got another vacation check which was for accumulated vacation time for 2015. I accumulated vacation time from January to May for the 2015 calendar year.

18 weeks? I want a transfer. Lol?

You don't get vacation when retired.

They probably paid you out for unused vacations. Doesn't happen in my region.

Wow I've been out for a year and a half retirement is better than I could have imagined. Went from hating to get up in the morning to nearly jumping out of bed. Stress level went from 8 to almost zero couldn't imagine going back

It's all accrual based. I'm leaning towards Labor Day weekend 2019. If I get aggravated enough it could be sooner.

Ours is defined benefit---working longer would not increase that amount.
