What does Memphis do about this?

Unfortunately, this country in full reverse. We are now in meltdown mode. It feels good to the deplorables right now because they think we are "winning". Actually, we're losing...big time. "Ike" Trump is doing some real damage trying to return us to the 1950's.

There is no time machine. The world is a far different place, and an infantile despot might just get us all killed for the sake of his huge ego.
We actually have a President who's getting things done that should've been done a long time ago. All the "Progressives" do is talk, they make promises for votes. They never fixed anything and given the opportunity they make things worse per Obamacare.

A little soon to make those pronouncements.

Personally I think it's more than a bit nuts to do a public flag burning, but I think most veterans would agree that they served - and many died - to ensure that their countrymen would always have the right to do something as stupid.

People think this guy was some kind of "hero" and deserves a medal for what? - trying to deprive some little group of dummies from exercising their constitutional rights? What do we aspire to be now - North Korea?

The matter of what public ordnance concerning open flame they may have been in violation of is a moot point here. Super Courier had no authority to jump in with his fire extinguisher to enforce that. A little out of his jurisdiction.

Folks are free to burn all the American flags they own.....just don't burn mine.
Isn't that the American way?

The Constitution protects the flag burning from government intervention. Therefore as far as the courier knows, no crime is being committed. There is no "saving Ol' Glory" going on. Aside from the lack of a permit, the protesters are doing nothing wrong.

So when he assaults them because they are performing an act he finds distasteful, his violence is not "free speech" it is criminal and I don't know where in jurisprudence you will find that it is.

Perhaps you might want to brush up on that civics lesson you feel qualified to teach.
Never said he committed no crime, I said he didn't violate their Constitutional rights. That being said, I applaud his actions, much like you applaud the actions of those protesting Trump's election.

If I come upon a burning American flag I will use whatever method I have at my disposal to extinguish the flame. On the job or not. This action is my right as an American citizen.

Actually you did say that he committed no crime when you insisted that it was his constitutional right to attack those who aimed to burn the flag.

And according to current jurisprudence from Supreme Court law, he did interfere with their freedom of speech.

Finally, we were told in very specific terms that our drivers were to avoid such protests on inauguration day. When did that order end?

If one of my drivers finds abortion finds abortion reprehensible, is it OK for him to pull up in front of Planned Parenthood in a FedEx marked truck, lay on the horn and scream "baby killers!"?

Fedex has stepped into an ugly almost fascist (in the most literal sense) and I think they need to reassess their position or at least clearly define exactly ( and in writing) what their positions are,

Well Van, since the civil rights era, this is the method your side uses to minimize the "minority" vote. And I think it's pretty sad that someone with Native American ancestry is blind to this form of oppression.

Asking for ID from people who have ID's is "suppression"? Wow. Snowflake effect.

Just the beginning in the Drumpf era.

Your side is fresh off of a large incident where women dressed up like vaginas and cheered ash Ashley Judd, Madonna, and others went off the rails, down the hill, and straight into the river. I don't think you can blame that on Trump.

I haven't seen anyone praising the protesters as heroic. I don't think the fedex guy was thinking about his livelihood when he went off the rails. He was triggered and struck out violently. For the side that is supposedly for law and order there is an awful lot of cheer for this vigilante.

He saw a crime being committed and he intervened.

Definition of Battery
the crime or tort of unconsented physical contact with another person, even where the contact is not violent but merely menacing or offensive.

Fedex guy committed Battery arguably assault as well. That is not a protected action dependent on his motivation.

The cops say otherwise. Better put that legal career on hold.
