I’ve seen a few drivers do it. It’s a pretty big pay cut thoughLike I said we only have a couple here but I do not know what the ratio is.
I will never bid one of those jobs

There's more to life then money. Most take the job to spend more time with family.I’ve seen a few drivers do it. It’s a pretty big pay cut though
You could retire...There's more to life then money. Most take the job to spend more time with family.
Or be semi retired. You could retire...
With somebody else have a full-time job brother you put your time inOr be semi retired.
Some of the other PT air drivers wish I would leave so they could have more hours. I suggested a 22.3 job that was just posted and they just turned their noses up like it would be beneath them. With somebody else have a full-time job brother you put your time in
You're not getting itSome of the other PT air drivers wish I would leave so they could have more hours. I suggested a 22.3 job that was just posted and they just turned their noses up like it would be beneath them.
No I won't be here long enough to make a 22.3 job worth while. I know of others that have been PT for a year or less and are tickled to get take job. You're not getting it
Maybe some, but none of the ones I’m talking about did it for that reason. There's more to life then money. Most take the job to spend more time with family.
Union shouldn't be negotiating anything for part timers. That's the companies problem. They are useless here. The amount of effort they put forth, they are over paid now.
You could bid one of those and work another 10 or 15 yearsLike I said we only have a couple here but I do not know what the ratio is.

That's why full time Trump's part-timeNo I won't be here long enough to make a 22.3 job worth while. I know of others that have been PT for a year or less and are tickled to get take job.
That's not going to happen my friend. If I get for my brown monkey suit on and go to work I want paid top dollarYou could bid one of those and work another 10 or 15 years
I have no idea. If it wasn't helping, I assume they would drop the rate to what the union negotiated. I view poor work ethic as a problem with management. In theory, if you paid new hires 30/hour starting, they would have a larger pool to select from. If they select and trim properly during probation, followed up with appropriate training, you'd have a superior workforce. @ $20 starting rate, you're competing with amazon and fedex + the majority of unskilled labor like flipping burgers which, if people haven't noticed, in many areas is now @ or near 20/start. From my time with the company, a glaring issue has always been poor training > lack of leadership. Just like our new hires, they do not select people who know how to lead and motivate their workers. Part-time supervision has a lot in common with part-time teamsters: they take on people who are going through the motions with the end goal of moving on.Has the MRA helped with retention or the quality of new hires?

It's common sense and applies to every industry. Higher starting pay increases the quality and quantity of applicants. From there, it's the management's responsibility to select and train. Otherwise, UPS wouldn't be giving new hires 26/start out of the goodness of their heart. My God you people live in Fantasyland
22.3 goes to highest seniority hereNot sure about that. I know every once in awhile a 22.3 bid is open to a part-timer
We only have a handful of 22.3 jobs here.
For some reason nobody wants them here22.3 goes to highest seniority here
I agree the starting wage needs to increase but you need to give people some incentive to stay here for a while longer and make a higher wage through progression. It's common sense and applies to every industry.
