Jacques Torres' Sweet Chocolate chip cookies.

    • YieldMakes twenty-six 5-inch cookies or 8 1/2 dozen 1 1/4-inch cookies
Ingredients




    • 1 pound unsalted butter
    • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
    • 2 1/4 cups packed light-brown sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 3 cups plus 2 tablespoons pastry flour
    • 3 cups bread flour
    • 1 tablespoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 teaspoons baking soda
    • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
    • 2 pounds Jacques Torres House (60 percent cocoa) Chocolate or other best-quality semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Directions




    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or nonstick baking mats; set aside.
    • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Reduce speed to low and add both flours, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla, and chocolate; mix until well combined.
    • Using a 4-ounce scoop for larger cookies or a 1-ounce scoop for smaller cookies, scoop cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft, about 20 minutes for larger cookies and about 15 minutes for smaller cookies. Cool slightly on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

My Favorite Banana Bread

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup butter, softened

cup sugar

cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)

eggs

cup chopped Walnuts

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°friend.
MIX flour, baking powder and baking soda. Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add bananas and eggs; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts.
POUR into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.
BAKE 1 hour 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.

The "My Favorite" part of the title was what the lady titled it. I have not tried this one, but it sounded more moist than mine.

I will try it next time I have some too ripe bananas.

Have you ever tried banana bread turned into French toast? It's yummy!!! I can't make banana bread too often, I eat the whole loaf, if I'm not careful. I could live on it, if pizza didn't exist. ;)

No-Fuss Turtle Cake

What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix

tub (10.6 oz.) COOL WHIP Chocolate Whipped Frosting, thawed

Tbsp. caramel ice cream topping



1/2
cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans




Make It

PREPARE cake batter and bake in 13x9-inch pan as directed on package; cool completely.
SPREAD cake with frosting; drizzle with caramel topping.
SPRINKLE with nuts. Keep refrigerated.

Moist Caramel Apple Cake

What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix

pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla or French Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

cup water

cup oil

Granny Smith apples (1 lb.), peeled, coarsely chopped

KRAFT Caramels

Tbsp. milk




Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.
BEAT first 5 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Stir in apples. Pour into greased and floured 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan.
BAKE 50 min. to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Loosen cake from side of pan; invert onto wire rack. Gently remove pan. Cool cake completely. Transfer to plate.
MICROWAVE caramels and milk in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min. or until caramels are completely melted and sauce is smooth, stirring every 30 sec. Cool 10 min. or until slightly thickened. Drizzle over cake.



Serve topped with thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping or vanilla ice cream.
