Images linked from other sites sometimes expire and offsite links get broken.
A couple of times a year I use a program to scan all the posts to find broken stuff like that so I can delete or fix it. That will screw up the post count. I can skip the nf thread for a couple of months though so you whoever gets the post can bask in nothingness fluff glory for a little while.
200,000 posts of crap! Who would have thought. Hopefully we don't break the Internet again.
