Are we still talking about Trumps parade?
The recent Democratic debates was clearly not a policy debate but rather an attempt to kill off the older candidates by the new and younger aspiring Democrat politicians trying to gain national status and national spotlight. The result I believe that could happen is that quite a number of centrist Democrats are not going to forget how badly Biden, Sanders and Warren were treated and you might just a some of them switch to become independents which might just put some otherwise safe congressional seats up for grabs.
Is a second term for Trump as sure bet? Not on your life especially if ongoing investigations unveil something really bad but no question the obvious generational clash between the nationally known but ageing Democrats and the upstarts many of whom are essentially little more than career minor league state level politicians will make the job much easier for him provided that he can continue to sell his platitudes with out policy message to his base.
