We have quite a few of those who leave from our building. One of my best friends is on a sleeper team. It easily makes 150k a year. I’m not sure how that’s not good money if you want to do it.
Spend most your off time in the back of a truck? No thank you. Even for the extra $40,000 a year.

I don't see that happening do you?
i think its inevitable but the company wants to go as slow as possible to feel out how cheap they can get away with this; i dont blame them since 7 day network is a fundamentally bad idea from a logistics perspective

i'm not convinced enough customers are demanding it, but marketing claims differently

Well seeing as Amazon, FedEx and USPS is doing it they may have no choice but to jump on board.

As long as the union jobs grow wgaf…if feeder can handle how to work 7 days a week with staffing I’m sure package can maybe figure it out…we have our smartest on this aka IE

12 year olds delivering packages?
You never know. I just got back from the local dirt track where kids as young as 12 are allowed to drive race cars. A 12 year old came in 3rd tonight racing what they call Mod-4's. Its an open wheel class that run 4 cylinder Ford engines.

Sleeper runs are not tied to delivery on Sunday, it’s because using the railroad is unreliable and not predictable. Once we get all the sleeper runs in promised in this current contract rail loads will be almost a thing of the past.

you feeder??? We were told that the rail would still be used for loads…we have gypos running trailers to Chicago and those have to be switches over to us soon… we still have rail work and will continue even after the contract.
