Don’t scare the 62 hour per week employees..might be a mutiny up in here if they get their OT cut!Lol shoulda read entire thread..I’ve beat me to this.. but combine it with pension contributions on all hours and company going to really have a serious financial reason to get rid of the overtime.
yes but we don’t need to staff an irregular car with two top rate RPCDs…. More likely a couple of first year in progression or a utility driver riding as helper for the day. Yes there is a cost but some made up via regular routes more productive without craptasticly huge irregulars on car. Plus reduce risk of costly on the job injuries when one member tries to manhandle too big of package just trying to “get ’er done”!Their two man crew costs less than a top rate driver probably
I’m sorry if you can’t arrange your finances to live on 40-45 weeks at top rate I don’t know what to tell ya…Don’t scare the 62 hour per week employees..might be a mutiny up in here if they get their OT cut!
Yes, I get it. So let’s make it more of a “third rail” for them. I came into this job knowing overtime was part of the gig…and if company needs me to work over 9.5, the ok, send me… but this business we operate everyday isOvertime is a bargain for the company
Honestly my personal beef with company is the way we was treated the last 2 years during the pandemicYes, I get it. So let’s make it more of a “third rail” for them. lo-o-o-oaded with cash that just keeps fl-o-o-owing in thanks to what we do so you better fatten up my wallet too.
Hard to come hat in hand looking for concessions when quarter after quarter we bring home record revenue, and record profit.
Yeah I hear you…and I agree to an extent but also think there was a lot of unknown to deal with thru the pandemic… not exactly making excuses for them or giving them pass but I’m willing to agree that it was an unprecedented couple of years and I’m glad I didn’t have to try to manage it, I just took care of my route.Honestly my personal beef with company is the way we was treated the last 2 years during the pandemic
I have one more strike left in meYeah I hear you…and I agree to an extent but also think there was a lot of unknown to deal with thru the pandemic… not exactly making excuses for them or giving them pass but I’m willing to agree that it was an unprecedented couple of years and I’m glad I didn’t have to try to manage it, I just took care of my route.

Depends on the area and what era you bought your house in…I’m sorry if you can’t arrange your finances to live on 40-45 weeks at top rate I don’t know what to tell ya…
Seriously, this just screams bad mgt… for only 20 drivers to put that many in…After 195 grievances for a building of under twenty last year I can honestly say our 2022 has started out…not perfect….but markably better.
Less posting and get the strike bunker readySeriously, this just screams bad mgt… for only 20 drivers to put that many in…
I’m cranking up the boilers in the bunker as we speak buddy…I honestly think that O’Brien is going to give them a shot to bargain in good faith and then if it goes south we could easily be walking. They aren’t going to be spending days and days on one sentence in the contract this time..going back and forth on 2 or 3 words…nope. I already told Mrs. Cold to dig out her lunchbox that she might be going back to work…lolI have one more strike left in me
You want to give it a supervisors bonuses and reward the shareholders with ridiculous dividends and pound us into the ground
Well guess what buddy....
We've had a couple give back contracts it's time for win nowI’m cranking up the boilers in the bunker as we speak buddy…I honestly think that O’Brien is going to give them a shot to bargain in good faith and then if it goes south we could easily be walking. Dude… how can they give us nothing when she promised 50% higher dividends…that’s total crazy talk. And ultimately that is a benefit for ups mgt and for the few hourly that actually have stock. We've had a couple give back contracts it's time for win now
My strike fund is all set up and ready to rollDude… how can they give us nothing when she promised 50% higher dividends…that’s total crazy talk. And ultimately that is a benefit for ups mgt and for the few hourly that actually have stock.
I hope it doesn’t come to that but yes,,,,, I think after the last two years we should be in a strong position and if they try to disrespect us st the bargaining table we always have that hammer we can drop. Stops the money flow in its tracks but for us as well. I’m ready we could sit out a year starting tomorrow… but not my first choice as I’m about 4-6 years till retirement.I have one more strike left in me
It's a different ball game for me this time buddyI hope it doesn’t come to that but yes,,,,, I think after the last two years we should be in a strong position and if they try to disrespect us st the bargaining table we always have that hammer we can drop. This contract we're working on it now is probably the worst one we ever hadWe elected the “get tougher“ team IMO. Let’s see how it works out.
I get the feeling some members would like a strike just because they are angry. I’m not in that camp,
But the financial results speak for themselves. I’m fine with investors getting fast returns because I’m an investor too. I’m even fine with management making bank…say what you want but you have to have management or the business doesn't run. But you better come to the table ready to share the wealth. We delivered it!
